If no end date is specified when creating a crew contract, the daily leave accrual rate will be based on a contract length of 365 days.

If the contract period runs over a Leap year, the daily accrual rate will be based on a contract length of 366 days.

The number of days taken into account within a contract period will influence the daily leave accrual rate and therefore the total amount of leave the crew member will accrue over a period of time.

Example

Daily leave accrual rates for a paid leave contract with 30 days of leave:

Standard year (365 days) = 1 contract day accrues 0.082192 days off

Leap year (366 days) = 1 contract day accrues 0.081967 days off

2028 - Feb 29th

2032 - Feb 29th

Amend daily accrual rate

If you're creating a contract over a leap year, but want to have a standard year's daily leave accrual rate, you can edit the rate when creating the contract:
