Step-by-step guide for logging in & submitting your payroll details

Log In

1. Click the link provided in your email. This will take you to the web version of our Workrest app.

2. Create your password and log in to your Workrest account on the web version.

Once logged in, you will find the sections to complete under your name and role onboard.

There are 4 sections you will be expected to complete:

1. Personal - Submit your personal details

2. Medical - Submit your medical history

3. Documents - Upload your passport and any additional documents

4. Finance - Save your bank details

Please ensure all sections below are completed before the cut-off date (shown in yellow at the top of your screen).

1. Personal

  • Edit your first and last name if required – you also have the option to add middle names

  • Nationality – Select your nationality from the dropdown

  • Place of Birth – Enter your city and country of birth

Employment Information

  • National Insurance Number (This is only applicable for British-flagged vessels - UK NI numbers only)

2. Medical

Enter any pre-existing medication conditions, allergy or prescribed medicine in the text box. The information will be automatically saved.

3. Documents

A passport upload is the minimum requirement. You can also add additional documents that you feel are relevant, such as Visas or STCW certificates.

To upload a document:

  1. Click New Document

  2. Select the Document Type – Please note that you will need to upload a copy of your passport as a minimum requirement.

  3. Enter the Document number and expiry date. You also have the option to add comments.

  4. Click Upload Document – You can select a document from your library (JPG, PNG and PDF formats are accepted) or take a picture if you are using your mobile phone.

  5. Once ready, click Submit.

4. Finance

This is where you will add the bank details of the account(s) you wish your payroll to be paid to. You can submit up to two bank accounts and decide how to split your salary between the two accounts if required.

2. Select the account currency – (Note: this is your bank account currency, not the currency you wish to be paid in)

Important: your bank details will be verified once submitted. If the information doesn’t match, the account cannot be saved. Please double-check your details and try again

How to split your salary between two bank accounts

You can add up to two bank accounts to your profile and choose how your salary is split between them.

Step 1: Add your first bank account

Enter your first bank account details following the standard instructions and submit the information.

Step 2: Add your second bank account

Once the first account is saved, click New Account and enter the details for your second bank account.

Step 3: Allocate your salary

At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see an option to allocate a specific amount of your salary to one of the two bank accounts.

  • Select the bank account you want to send a fixed amount to.

  • Enter the amount.

  • The remaining balance of your salary will automatically be paid into the other bank account.

Example:

If your total salary is $5,000 and you want to split it as follows:

  • Bank of America: $1,000

  • Wells Fargo: $4,000

Follow these steps:

  1. Enter and submit your Bank of America account details.

  2. Click New Account and enter your Wells Fargo account details.

  3. At the bottom of the screen, select “This account” for the Wells Fargo account.

  4. Enter $4,000 as the amount to be sent to Wells Fargo.

  5. Submit your details.

Your salary will now be paid as follows:

  • Wells Fargo: $4,000

  • Bank of America: $1,000 (remaining balance and any additional earnings like bonuses)


What if you can’t enter all the information at once?

There’s no worry. Complete what you can right now. You can log back in and complete the outstanding information when ready. You will receive a daily reminder of what information is still outstanding for you on your profile.
