Find out how to verify crew onto your vessel so they can start logging hours

When a new crew member joins a vessel, they'll need to be verified by an admin before they're able to start using the workrest app.

Verify crew

Vessel admins will be able to verify crew by logging into their dashboard and confirming the request on the Hours Review or Leave Review pages.

As part of the request, you'll be able to edit their position onboard, their start date and their permission level.

Unable to verify crew

If you're struggling to verify crew onto the vessel:

  • Check whether the crew member was onboard the vessel previously.

    • If the start date overlaps with any other dates the crew member was onboard, you'll be unable to verify their account. The start date should fall after the end date of their previous time onboard.

  • Try logging out of the dashboard, logging back in and attempting to verify again.

  • If you're still unable to verify the crew member, get in touch with us at support@workrest.co
